Fund Accounts
Fund accounts record where your money is kept: cash, bank cards, credit cards, Alipay, and so on. They help you keep track of each balance and, together with the analysis features, see how your total assets change over time.
Account types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Cash | Physical cash on hand |
| Bank card | Debit cards, payroll cards, and the like |
| Credit card | A credit spending account where you can track what you owe |
| Investment | Investment accounts such as funds and stocks |
| Other | Alipay, WeChat change, and the like |
Where to find it
| App | Location |
|---|---|
| The Android app | "Me → Account Management" |
| The web app | Left menu, "App Management → Fund Accounts" |
| The desktop app | Left navigation, "Manage → Accounts" |
Adding an account
- Tap "Add account"
- Enter a name (such as "CMB payroll card") and choose a type
- Enter the current balance (the currency defaults to RMB)
- Optional: icon, color, description
- Save
Everyday management
- Edit: change the name, type, balance and other details at any time
- Hide: accounts you rarely use can be hidden so they no longer appear in the frequent list (the data is kept)
- Delete: once deleted, it cannot be recovered — hiding is usually the better choice
Accounts and recording entries
- Linking an account when recording an entry is not required: you can record income and expenses on entries alone and keep account balances up to date separately
- An account balance is a "status" you can update by hand at any time; reconcile it regularly
- The balances of all your accounts add up to your total assets; combined with Savings Analysis & Wealth Growth you can see how your total assets change over the long term
Credit card debt and debts
What you owe on a credit card can be tracked in the account balance. For debts that need long-term repayment tracking (a mortgage, a car loan, and so on), Debt Management is the better fit.
