Notifications gather the system and interaction messages that concern you in one place: family invitations, system announcements, and more.
Where to find it

Message types
- Interactive messages: notifications that need your action, such as family invitations (you can accept or decline)
- System notifications: system announcements and reminders
Common actions
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| See the unread count | The list and the entry point show the number of unread messages |
| Mark as read | Tap a single message to mark it read, or mark everything read at once |
| Handle a message | Invitation messages can be accepted / declined directly |
| Delete | Clear out messages you no longer need |
Handle invitations right in the notifications
When you receive a family invitation, you don't need to open the Family Sharing page — just accept it on the notification to join.
