Home & Calendar
The home page is where you record entries every day, and it is also the fastest dashboard for checking this month's income and expenses; the calendar and heatmap help you look back at how you recorded on each day.
Income & expense overview
The overview area at the top of the home page shows this month's key metrics:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Income | Actual income for the current month |
| Expenses | Actual expenses for the current month |
| Balance | Income − expenses |
| MoM change | How income, expenses, and balance compare with last month |
| Estimated expenses | The projected total expenses for this month, extrapolated from the average daily spending of the last 180 days |
| Remaining budget | This month's budget minus what has been used |
| Health score | Your current income & expense health score; tap it to see details |
| Days recorded | The cumulative number of days with entry records |
There are also income, expense, and balance trends for the last 12 periods, helping you see a longer time span.
Calendar
The calendar shows each day's income and expenses by month:
- Tap a day to see the transaction list for that day
- The larger the amount marked on a date, the more prominent it looks
- You can switch between different months
Heatmap
The heatmap shows how much you recorded each day over the course of a year — the darker the color, the more income and expense activity that day. After sticking with bookkeeping for a while, you can see your recording habits at a glance and easily spot "which month I spent especially heavily".
Questions the heatmap can answer
- Have I kept up my recording habit? (runs of dark cells)
- When did I spend a lot of money? (holidays, big-sale months)
- Which days had almost no spending? (runs of light cells)
